The 2008 Fund-Raising Event
The Pasteur Institute in Paris celebrated its 120th anniversary this year.
2008 also saw the 2008 Nobel prize in Medicine awarded to two of its researchers, Françoise Barré-Sinoussi and Luc Montagnier, for their work on the retrovirus responsible for AIDS.
The Canadian Louis Pasteur Foundation, a partner of the Pasteur Institute in Canada is proud to be associated with this success on the occasion of its 2008 fund-raising event which caps off its fund-raising drive.
The funds collected help quality researchers pursue their work within the prestigious Pasteur Institute with one goal in mind: to improve the health of individuals, men and women, young and old, around the world through the discovery of innovative therapies for infectious diseases, vaccines and immunology.
Your presence and support are, for us, the volunteers who work for the foundation, an affirmation of the merits of our work and a significant sign of encouragement for us to persevere.
